Grief Recovery Center
People experience grief at different times and through different events in life.  Some experience grief following a divorce, or through a traumatic experience such as a hurricane that destroys the family home. Grief occurs following a chronic illness, as the result of an accident, or a death. People heal in many various ways from grief. The Grief Recovery Center can assist you in times of transition through grief to healing and wholeness.

The Grief Recovery Center assists people struggling with grief to understand, to cope with, and to adjust to their losses. It also works with professionals and non-professionals to increase their understanding of the needs of the bereaved and how best to respond to those needs.

Grief is not an illness. It is a normal experience, a process that needs to be dealt with. The process of accomodation is different for everyone.

Programs and Services

Our services include professional counseling by licensed therapists, counselors, social workers and pastoral care associates. We offer workshops and community presentations that target special needs such as  "Grief, Stress and the Holidays." The Pastoral Care program provides assistance to those seeking spiritual healing.  Finally, support groups are offered throughout the year on a rotating basis.

Our Beliefs and Values

At the Grief Recovery Center, we care about those we assist during these important and meaningful times in life. We believe in the ability each one possesses to heal and we respect each person's individual journey to health. Our programs and services respond to each person's needs and interests in a personal and strictly confidential manner.
